Kampong Thom, April 21, 2026 — The President of the Cashew nut Association of Cambodia (CAC), Silot Uon, held a strategic meeting with Sheng Qu, General Manager of EALYTEX Global Inc., at the CAC headquarters to explore new investment and export opportunities for Cambodia’s agricultural sector.
Founded in 2006 and headquartered in New York City’s Garment District, EALYTEX Global Inc. is a U.S.-based fashion manufacturer with a fully integrated model spanning design, development, and production. The company operates internationally, with branches in Shanghai, Hong Kong, China, Kenya, and Canada, and has maintained a presence in Cambodia since 2013, where it established three garment factories.
In recent years, EALYTEX has expanded beyond apparel into agriculture. Since 2023, the company has focused on Cambodian agricultural products, particularly dried fruits and cashew nuts, signaling a growing interest in the country’s agro-processing potential.
During the meeting, Mr. Sheng Qu expressed EALYTEX’s intention to collaborate with local Cambodian processing companies through partnerships or joint ventures. He emphasized that prospective partners must meet international certification standards, noting that U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) compliance is preferred for entry into the American market. However, he added that EALYTEX is prepared to support Cambodian companies in obtaining the necessary certifications. Silot has supplied four processing companies to assist EALYTEX in conducting feasibility studies.
A key objective discussed was the export of Cambodian cashew kernels to major U.S. retail chains such as Costco and Walmart—two of the largest retailers in the United States and longstanding partners of EALYTEX. Mr. Silot Uon highlighted his vision of seeing Cambodian cashews featured in these prominent retail outlets, describing it as a milestone for the industry.
EALYTEX also underscored its commitment to positioning Cambodian cashews as a premium product, targeting high-end branding, superior quality, and higher price points in international markets.
The meeting marks a promising step toward strengthening Cambodia’s cashew value chain and expanding its footprint in global markets, particularly in the United States.
