Henan, China, Sept. 24, 2026 — Representatives of the Jingzhou Agricultural Exhibition Center in Henan Province, China, have expressed interest in importing high-potential Cambodian agricultural products, including cashew nuts, dried mango, durian and longan, into the Chinese market.
The interest was raised during a working discussion between a delegation from Cambodia’s Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF) and representatives of the Jingzhou Agricultural Exhibition Center on September 24.
H.E. Ky Chanromduol, Undersecretary of State at MAFF, met with Mr. Fang Guogen, Director General of the Jingzhou Agricultural Exhibition Center, to discuss opportunities to strengthen agricultural trade and investment between Cambodia and China.
The discussions focused on three key areas of potential cooperation. The first involved investment in the export of Cambodian agricultural products that have established phytosanitary protocols with China’s General Administration of Customs (GACC), creating opportunities for Cambodian producers and exporters to access the Chinese market.
The second area concerned the import of agricultural inputs, machinery and modern farming technologies from China to Cambodia to support the modernization and efficiency of the country’s agricultural sector.
The two sides also discussed opportunities for Chinese investors to establish businesses in Cambodia under the country’s investment framework, including Qualified Investment Project (QIP) status and associated investment incentives.
During the meeting, H.E. Ky Chanromduol invited Chinese investors and businesses to participate in the Cambodia Agricultural Fair and Exhibition (CAFE26), scheduled to take place in October. The event is expected to provide opportunities for Cambodian agricultural producers and international businesses to explore trade, investment and market partnerships.
For its part, the Chinese delegation expressed particular interest in Cambodian dried mango, cashew nuts, durian and longan, identifying them as potential products for the Chinese market.
The Jingzhou Agricultural Exhibition Center also indicated plans to visit Cambodia to conduct further studies and explore opportunities for agricultural business and investment cooperation.
The planned visit could provide an opportunity for Chinese companies to gain a deeper understanding of Cambodia’s agricultural production, processing capacity and export potential while identifying possible areas for investment and market cooperation.
The discussions come as Cambodia continues efforts to expand agricultural exports, attract investment in agro-processing and strengthen market access for Cambodian agricultural products in international markets.
