PHNOM PENH, Cambodia, Oct. 20, 2026 — Guangdong Nan Xing Rainbow Nut Co., Ltd., a Chinese supplier of nuts and grains with approximately 40 years of market experience and annual revenue of around US$4 billion, is exploring investment opportunities in Cambodia’s cashew processing industry.
Mr. Zhou Jiesheng, the company’s chief executive officer, met with Mr. Chea Vuthy, Secretary General of the Cambodian Investment Committee of the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC), on Tuesday to learn about Cambodia’s investment environment and the potential of its cashew sector.
Mr. Chea Vuthy said the Royal Government of Cambodia is prioritising cashew industry development, including plans to establish a dedicated Cashew Industrial Park in Kampong Thom province. The initiative aims to provide infrastructure support and special investment incentives beyond those available under the Investment Law.
Zhou said his company, which supplies cashews, almonds, pistachios and other products in China, is considering investing in cashew processing in Cambodia for export to the Chinese market.
The company also hopes to encourage Chinese manufacturers of cashew-processing machinery to explore establishing assembly operations in Cambodia to supply local processing plants.
Beyond cashews, Zhou expressed interest in importing pistachios from the United States for processing in Cambodia before re-exporting them to the US market.
He said the visit would help the company gather comprehensive information before deciding whether to invest in Cambodia in the near future.
Mr. Chea Vuthy reaffirmed the Cambodian Investment Committee’s readiness to assist the company with investment project registration and related procedures in accordance with Cambodia’s laws and regulations.
